SPOCA is monitoring the update process for the shoreline master plans being updated by local jurisdictions. The Department of Ecology is requiring these updates on a certain schedule set by Ecology.
The City of Kirkland began their update process this summer. Kirkland’s
consultant has prepared a draft shoreline inventory, a key element for
developing baseline information for updates. SPOCA will be working with
the Kirkland planning staff to achieve a realistic and workable result.
